About the Developer
As an App developer for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, I need a place to offer more information about my work, my Apps and perhaps a bit about me. Say hello to Syn-Apps.co.uk
I have 'been into' macs since 2006 when Apple introduced their Intel models, though as I was just 9 at the time, I didn't realise the impact this would have on Apple and OSX. You may have noticed that I am still just 15, so let me tell you something about my knowledge of programming for the iPhone and other iOS devices.
Using a computer is one thing, but not enough for me. I need to know what makes them tick and how to make them tick differently! After reading several books on mac OS X, I was excited to get my first gen iPod Touch - still part of my growing Apple collection. It was fun to use but with the introduction of the iPhone SDK, I wanted to make my own Apps.
My dad is always telling me 'knowledge is power', so he was pleased when I wanted to learn about programming at an early age. He spoke with Amsys, an Apple Approved trainer in London, and they agreed to enrol me on their Objective-C training course, and then onto their iPhone SDK Workshop. I loved it and have the certificates on my wallas a constant reminder of the great time i had.
With each new release of the iOS, there are changes and improvements. It's certainly always moving forward at a fast rate and to to stay up to speed, I am a registered developer with Apple and have access to all the resources and help they offer. I also read great books like those from Erica Sadun, Ray Wenderlich and others that have done some amazing work and share their findings and knowledge with the developer community.
Last year I came across shineydevelopment.com and manage to get in touch with Dave Verwer there, an excellent trainer, who now provides me with ongoing training and support as well as lots of encouragement, as I explore the further possibilites of iOS and mac applications.
In 2011 i attended the IP Expo at Earls Court. It was a great event, but mostly because i met one of my heros - Steve Wozniak - And after meeting him i can confirm he is a nice in real life as i had hoped.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of having me develop an App for you, please visit the Contact page or click the email link below.
